ONLINE UPDATE, 3/11: Duke officials said in a statement Tuesday that a woman who claimed she had been sexually assaulted Thursday, March 6 made a false claim.
According to the release, the 21-year-old admitted her story was fabricated after Duke University Police Department investigators found several inconsistencies in her narrative of the assault. In fact, they said, she said she was not near Duke at the date and time of the assault.
Aaron Graves, associate vice president for safety and security, said no decision had been made on whether or not to charge the woman, who is not affiliated with the University.

Why do women keep doing this? Is it "empowering" to them?
Why doesn't the Women's Studies department study the issue of why women make so many false reports of rape and sexual assault? Isn't that the sort of thing a department like that should be doing?
And for that matter, why doesn't the Department of African American Studies study the issue of why African Americans are robbing and murdering our students?

The Duke Alum's question boils down to why are women and blacks attacking white men. To get to the bottom for this gratuitous cruelty, one can do no better than to start with the concept, (or sin) of envy. (Continued…)
