After rescinding an offer to serve as dean of the University of California-Irvine's new law school, UCI Chancellor Michael Drake is once again soliciting Duke law professor Erwin Chemerinsky for the job, the Los Angeles Times reported Friday.

Chemerinsky, a renowned professor of constitutional law who has argued several cases before the Supreme Court, was offered the position Sept. 8. However, just four days later, Drake purportedly told him he was too politically controversial for the position and the offer was withdrawn.

Since then, the story has gained national attention as accusations that conservative influences on the school's leadership led to the firing of Chemerinsky, who is well known for his liberal views.

Chemerinsky told the L.A.Times that he is yet unsure as to whether or not he will take the school's new offer to serve as dean.

Who in their right mind would actually hire this wacko leftist named Chemerinsky? Duke!
